Growing up our family was everything and that has stuck with me over the years as I now have my own wife (wicked smart and beautiful) and children (three awesome daughters).

It's easy to get lost in ourselves and our own wants and needs, but that doesn't give us an excuse not to be thoughtful and kind towards others.  Leading with kindness is important to me.

Life is too short not to smile and laugh at least 90% of your time here on earth.  It's okay to have other emotions but to me laughter cures almost everything. 

Can't express this enough...that it's a must to over communicate if you want to have meaningful relationships that last.
